Philosophy of Wholeness
The word health comes from the Old English word hale, meaning to be whole. Therefore, being healthy is the process of becoming whole. My philosophy in life coaching and therapy is to focus on the whole person.
When we treat the person rather than just the symptom, the problems that brought them into treatment often fall away naturally—like an old, out-grown shoe.
Tossing the Crutch
As I mentioned in my Gainesville Magazine article, most people treat life problems as if they have a broken leg. Instead of healing the leg, they find a new "crutch"—be it drinking, drugs, gambling, overeating, or other distractions.
My goal is to treat the underlying issues to get you walking again in the right direction, so you can eventually toss the crutch away for good.
